COMIC CON SUPERMAN 2 REPORT

From someone who was there:

Hey there. I was at the comic con, and thought you would find this info interesting. I was able to get a question into Bryan Singer, which was:

What was your motivation on using the Marlon Brando footage in Superman Returns and do you think the use of this footage would either help or hurt the possible release of these scenes on a Superman 2 DVD.

His response basically skated around the question saying that he could not see it hurting the release, and went on to say that part of Marlon would be recreated with CG. I seem to remember him saying something about Brando’s head being recreated and we would have to wait and see.

All in all, it was good, because I’m sure that Warner Bros. people were there and that was the second mention of interest in a Superman 2 Special Edition DVD. I wish I could find a transcript to get the exact response to my question, however, all the sites so far only are posting the private questions held after the Q&A panel.

SUPERMAN 2: GREEN CUT

I've had a few people ask about this so I'm going to post details of this defunt project very soon.

RIC

Superman 2 RIC is being sold at Comic Con! It's on Ebay and check this site, it's selling too! It's out of our hands, if people want to pay for it then there's nothing no one can do.

SINGER ON DONNER'S SUPERMAN 2

Warner Brothers has been very supportive, and he said there would not be interference like on Superman II. He (Singer) even agreed to ask Richard Donner again about the rumored Director's Cut of Superman II, and hopefully post information on BlueTights.net.

That's great! Check out the rest at filmforce.

I still believe that a Superman 2 SE will be out in the fall of 06! Crazy not to cash-in at such a ripe moment in the Superman fandom.
