SUPERMAN III - GENERAL/TRIVIA

Many critics of Superman III, (Tom Manckiewicz among them), sighted that SIII failed because it was a Richard Pryor Movie and not a Superman one. To corroborate this statement, Hugo Moya has measured the time that Reeve and Pryor appeared on screen. This is the result:

Christopher Reeve:

As Superman 40:23 Minutes (15 appearances)
As Clark Kent 22:24 Minutes (14 appearances)
Total Christopher Reeve 62:47 Minutes (29 appearances)

Richard Pryor:
39:34 Minutes (19 appearances)

Richard Pryor appears less than Christopher Reeve, however, Reeve performed two characters.

Individually by character, Gus Gorman appeared more than Clark Kent and almost the same amount of time as Superman.

On the other hand Gorman appeared more times than Superman and Clark Kent individually (19 against 15 and 14 respectively):

The scene where Clark is performing a snippet of 'Earth Angel' on the piano is actually Chris Reeve himself!
